Chick-fil-A opened its first location in the United Kingdom on Thursday and is already seeing success! The restaurant is located in Reading and is only a pilot location. It’s focused on helping the chain understand customers in England. Last year, the first Canadian location opened outside of Toronto and there are plans to continue expanding over the next five years.
Keep your eyes open for the newest Kit Kat Duos flavor, hitting stores in December. Back in April, 2019, Hershey announced that they would (finally) be adding a new Kit Kat flavor, the first in over 10 years. A few lucky instagrammers were able to try the dark chocolate and mint snack, and have been raving about it since. This will be a permanent item, so no need to stockpile!
Danish beer giant, Carlsberg, is one step closer to developing an eco-friendly beer bottle. These bottles are made from sustainably-sourced wood fiber and their production requires a much lower impact on the environment. The bottles are still in the prototype stage, but the company feels that they are close. These bottles would replace glass and aluminum products most companies already use. Carlsberg joins a growing list of manufacturers trying to reduce the amount of waste their products produce.
Tip Top Poultry, a major distributor of prepared chicken has issued a massive recall due to possible contamination with listeria monocytogenes. Listeria is a bacteria that, when ingested, causes major gastrointestinal issues, as well as miscarriage in pregnant women. This recall only affects cooked chicken products, so consumers don't have to worry about any uncooked chicken they may have in their fridge or freezer.
